I've always loved engineering, even when I hadn't learned the word yet. When I was 7, I liked taking apart my dad's electronics and playing with light switches. At 18, the world of electricity and control systems became my fascination, leading me to earn a BEE in Electrical Engineering at Auburn University. Adding on a minor in Nuclear Power Generation Systems has allowed me to explore different ways my love for engineering can serve the community.
Alongside the technical aspects of engineering, I discovered a love for lighting and scenic design as a way to share the beauty of engineering with others. I earned a BFA in Theatre Design/Production, also from Auburn University, specializing in Scenographic Design, and I added on a minor in Studio Art Animation for good measure. Using technology to tell stories has become increasingly important to me as I've grown as a designer.
Now, I'm a PhD student studying Power Engineering, and a Ride Control Hardware Engineer at Walt Disney Imagineering bringing stories and attractions to life! I love to talk everything theatre, engineering, and theme parks, so feel free to reach out
